Description
an original canvas painting did in 92'.It won first place in the Airbrush Action Mag.national high school competition and was featured in the Feb. edition.I took most of the basic concepts and redid them entirely in photoshop.I did a lot of foreshortening to it and skewed the perspective a little to give a more interesting composition, rather than flat and unappealing.
The tiger's features were influenced by Disney,if no other refs

some notes:
- i do think that the teeth are a tad flat. considering the perspective, one should feel one teeth is closer or further away. and when you have the more dimensional lower gumline(?), the grey one right below the teeth, you wish a bit more depth could've been placed on the teeth somehow.
-i feel that the folds of his yellow ... err, what's it called... where his mane is... fluffy yellow. right... anyways, i think the folds could've been a less redundant. and it also seems to lack the sharpness seen on the head.
...there's definitely, imo, some inconsistencies in the sharpness of various elements in this drawing. but phbbt. hardly noticeable when you realize what a kick ass piece of art it really is.
oh, and i nearly forgot - the sheet patterns. nice
